Here's my Two Little Bats in time for Halloween Fun! I do have another post that include bats HERE! These are super easy and lot's of Fun with Friends at Storytime!
So we're prepping for Hispanic Heritage month coming soon and I wanted a felt set for Storytime so of course I thought of guacamole! Here's my rhyme,Let's Make Some Guacamole! I had made the lemonade pieces a few months ago and never used them and thought they'd be perfect with my guac! I used some Google images to make some patterns but free handed the tomato and chips. I used glitter glue to make my segments on the lime and slick paint for the salt and pepper shakers. I made up a rhyme and we're ready for Fun with Friends at Storytime!
A new set of 2 little fingerpuppets! Here is Zoe and Zane. They like to gallop on the African plain. I found a cute Google image to deconstruct for a pattern and used some hot glue and slick paint and here they are! Zebras are so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
This theme resonated with the kiddos. They all like berries and around here it's strawberry picking time and the blueberries will soon be ready. We also played 'Which one is missing?' with the berries. That's always a big hit! This is one of my favorite themes for Storytime! Check out my other posts about berries Here and Here.
Yummy berries are so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
Here are my Two Little Dinosaurs for some dino fun! There are so many cute dino books for this theme and many other ideas on the Flannel Friday Pinterest board. Since we like to end our storytimes with a Two Little... rhyme, I made these two for our dinosaur storytime. I used a Google image that I deconstructed and simplified and used some googly eyes and fabric paint and we are ready for Fun with Friends at Storytime!
We're planning for Spring story times and wanted to include a butterfly theme this year. I saw this wonderful song and felt set Here and wanted to make my own. I made each piece about 6 to 8 inches. I did tweak my butterfly to have lots of different colors and I'm ready to go!
Caterpillars and Butterflies are so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
I had been wanting to do this set for a long time and was too intimidated. A few months ago I gathered up my courage and felt and scissors and hot glue gun and got busy! This took a couple of weeks off and on to make but I am super pleased with the result! Check out the other sets on Flannel Friday's Pinterest board, Bugs. I love the fat caterpillar and his cocoon. I had to tweak my butterfly a bit but I think it's a pretty good interpretation of Eric Carle's.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
Birthdays are always so much fun as a theme for storytime! I have another set of finger-puppets for our Birthday theme! I used a Google image and slick fabric paint with shiny pipe cleaner and cut up sequin candles for the top of my cakes. I also cut a piece of large sequin for the happy smile and used goofy google eyes for fun! These guys make me smile!
Two fancy cakes for your birthday,
One named Hip Hip and one named
Hooray!
Blow out their candles, then we all
say
“Happy, Happy Birthday,
Hip Hip, Hooray!”
Don't Wake Up the Tiger by Teckentrup is a fun, suspenseful picture book with a happy surprise birthday ending! Birthdays are always so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
Here are 2 puppy pugs ready for storytime! I used three shades of brown to make my cute puppies! Google eyes and fabric paint finished off the details. We are doing a storytime theme of pets soon and these little guys are going to help!
Two puppy pugs are ready for bed! One named Freda and one named Fred.
Go to sleep Freda. Go to sleep Fred.
Wake up (bark) Freda! Wake up (different bark) Fred...
Here are 2 more Finger Puppet sets for January. I love my sweet penguins and adorable little marshmallows. I used google eyes on the penguins but the marshmallows have fabric paint eyes that are not as goofy looking. LOL! Google images helped me make my patterns. I have penguin posts HERE and Hot Chocolate post HERE!
This winter we are having so much Fun with Friends at Storytime!
We've started planning for Spring! Yay! We like to end our storytime with a finger puppet rhyme. The repetition of the technique doesn't get old because we change up the shape and the names of the two littles! Here are my ducks, frogs and trees! These are addictive to make! LOL!
Two yellow Ducks paddling in the pond. one named Daphne and one named Don.
Swim away Daphne. Swim away Don...
Two little frogs croaking in the swamp. One named Ribbit and one named Jump.
Hop away Ribbit! Hop away Jump! ...
Two happy trees, waving in the wind. One named Fancy and one named Finn.
Wave your leaves Fancy. Wave your leaves Finn!
Stand up tall Fancy. Stand up tall Finn!
Two happy trees, waving in the wind. One named Fancy and one named Finn.

I have made Two Daring Snowpals and Two Freezing Snowflakes for our wintery storytimes.
Two daring snowpals at the top of a hill. One named Bonnie and one named Bill.
Slide down Bonnie... Slide down Bill ... Come back Bonnie... Come back Bill.
Two daring snowpals at the top of a hill. One named Bonnie and one named Bill!
Two freezing snowflakes floating down from heaven. One named Kay and one named Kevin.
Float away Kay...Float away Kevin...
I used toothpicks colored with a brown marker for my snowpal arms and the snowflakes are plastic snowflake Christmas ornaments hot glued to felt circles. I used fabric paint for the snowpals and google eyes and a cut up sequin for my snowflakes' faces. We're having a lot of wintery Fun with Friends at Storytime!
